It’s obvious now that borrowed words in different languages influence on the developing of every language. Every language has its own quantity of borrowed words. Borrowing is a very important process in lexical development, that’s why this topic is always topical. And there is always enough material to analyze.
During its history English took many words from different languages. Because of such a great quantity some linguists have an opinion that English has lost its origin and lost its own face. Latin borrowing is a great part that took place in three steps and now still goes on. Most of the words connected with science and art are of Latin origin. In Middle Aged Britain intelligent people tried to use Latin words instead of English precisely. They tried to make their speech as much misunderstandable as possible.
